Behavioral Health
At Crescent Bloom Consulting we provide high quality, evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
We work with caregivers and clients to determine the appropriate levels of support for each client. We offer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), clinical mental health counseling and caregiver training. All our services use a client’s rights lens and focus on developmentally appropriate self-determination.
Support for our clients’ also includes examining the ways they are affected by systems of oppression. Our programs and culture strive to be actively anti-racist, equity focused and in-support of neurodiverse self-advocacy.
Crescent Bloom Consulting is dedicated to protecting and respecting the identities of all our families, clients and staff members. This includes honoring gender identity (including pronouns). We also respect each person's racial, ethnic, religious and disability identity as it has been disclosed to us. Our policy of respect and non-discrimination is not limited to these areas of identity and we welcome all members to our community.
Our ABA program generally works with clients ages 3-21 with ASD, ADHD or other neurodiverse diagnoses.
Clinical Mental Health Counseling is open to clients of all ages (through adulthood), with a focus on neurodiversity, trauma and working with those in the informal economy. We also offer Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), specifically for children who have experienced traumatic events.
We offer Telehealth services for all our programs, on a case by case basis. Our in-person area of service is in greater New Orleans, from Kenner to Gretna.
Neurodiversity is:
"...a concept where neurological differences are to be recognized and respected as any other human variation. These differences can include those labeled with Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyscalculia, Autistic Spectrum, Tourette Syndrome, and others."
